      <image:title>approach - Sarah Blair Jenkins</image:title>
<image:caption>My training is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. In this approach, we imagine what it would be like to say anything and everything. For this reason, anyone can come and talk about any issue that arises for them and find that it can be explored. Additionally, I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. I also have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, issues with sex and sexuality, and with people in sustained recovery from substance use disorders. I have experience supporting folks who identify as gender diverse and/or erotically marginalized. I am licensed to practice in North Carolina, Illinois, and Massachusetts. I attended Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts and have worked in both residential and outpatient settings. My work has taken me to Houston, Texas; Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Asheville, North Carolina. I am a current member of the American Psychological Association Division of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology (39) and formerly served on their Board of Directors. Additionally, I served on the on the Board of Section IX: Psychoanalysis for Social Responsibility from 2020 through 2025. In 2021, I completed the University of Michigan School for School Work Sexual Health Certificate Program with a concentration in Sex Therapy. I am a current member of American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT); the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas (PCC); and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I currently teach continuing education courses for therapists through Asheville Analytic Thought.</image:caption>

<image:title>home - Sarah Blair Jenkins MSW · LCSW · CST Licensed in North Carolina, Illinois, and Massachusetts</image:title>
<image:caption>Therapy is about co-creating a safer space to explore the depth and complexity of our lives so as to heal through relationship. This work serves as a container to explore anything and everything. I work diligently to curate a relationally open and compassionate space so you can feel seen and known over time. Healing is more than behavior change, more than measuring external success or increasing productivity. Therapy is about developing a relationship with yourself and those around you that feels restorative and sustainable. My goal as a therapist is to forge with you a liberatory space to untangle the inside and the outside, wrestle with multiple identities, and to grow and align. Our wounds can become sources of light, information, connection, and creativity. We can have more agency in how we define ourselves.</image:caption>
